Experience North Dakota’s newly expanded state museum with other AARP members, their families and friends. Join us from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the North Dakota Heritage Center and get a sneak peak ahead of the official opening. You’ll be able to view exhibits and collections in this new environment – a world-class facility with spectacular design features.

AARP North Dakota has reserved the facility especially for members, their families and friends for a “Night at the Museum” filled with refreshments, snacks and fun. There will be AARP resources and information available, and AARP staff and Executive Council members will be on hand to visit with guests.

The Heritage Center expansion includes 39,000 feet of museum space, which nearly doubles the original gallery size. The expansion allows the state’s official museum to display more of their collections and tell the story of North Dakota in greater depth.

Explore the Adaptation Gallery: Geologic Time and check out the Innovation Gallery: Early Peoples. Also open are the new Museum Store and Great Plains Theater, the renovated Russell Reid Auditorium, and select hallway exhibits.

There is no charge and you need not be a member to attend, but registration is required. You can also register by calling toll-free 1-877-926-8300.

We invite you to bring a non-perishable food item for the Great Plains Food Bank.
