A Labor of Love: The Caregiver Portraits by D. Michael Geller is a photography exhibit that centers around the lives of 21 Hampton Roads Caregivers and their devotion towards caring for their loved ones.

D. Michael Geller was a former physician who over the course of his career worked with many patients and their relatives. Geller began to notice the necessary and often unacknowledged selflessness of these relatives as they supported their loved ones towards living their best lives possible. He decided to use his photography to tell their stories.

A Labor of Love: The Caregiver Portraits features 25 photographs that bring to light how members of the community work to build and sustain relationships through visual story telling. The exhibition will be on view from February 21. 2019 through June 23, 2019 in the Focus Gallery of the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk Virginia.
