Protect Your Identity with AARP Louisiana Free Shredding

Free shredding2.jpg

Protect yourself from identity theft! Join AARP Louisiana at our free shredding events in April, just in time for tax season. Every two seconds, someone falls victim to identity theft. Stay one step ahead of the thieves by securely shredding your sensitive documents.

CONSUMERS ONLY—Bring up to three boxes or bags of documents to be shredded onsite by a professional shred company. Suggested items include bank statements, canceled checks, credit card junk mail, and receipts with identifying information.

Documents should be free of large binder clips; staples and paper clips don’t need to be removed. This event is FREE and open to the public, but registration is recommended.

This year, we're collecting food donations for our local food banks. Join us in supporting our community by bringing non-perishable food items along with your shredding materials.
