Black History Month is an annual celebration commemorating African Americans who contributed to the monumental movement of equal rights for men and women in our society. The month of February allows individuals to pay homage by reflecting on the past, while focusing on the future. In commemoration of Black History Month, AARP is offering a free admission day to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. The first 300 people will enter free of charge.
Bring your family and friends to be among the first to experience this wonderful new museum. Join AARP Mississippi as we learn about the state’s legacy of African Americans who played a significant role in the fight for equal rights. For more information, call AARP Mississippi at 1-866-554-5382.
