The Arlington Central Library is about to be very busy in the upcoming months as it hosts three AARP workshops which take place in October through November. The workshops are the AARP HomeFit Workshop, Life Reimagined: Discovering Your New Life Possibilities, and Caregiving 101: Preparing to Care for Your Loved One.
The AARP HomeFit Workshop will be held in the Central Library Auditorium on Monday, October 10th at 10:30 A.M. and Saturday, October 15th at 3:00 P.M. This workshop teaches participants how to decide what type of home modifications are needed to stay in their home as they age and provides ideas and inspiration on making those modifications.
Life Reimagined: Discovering Your New Life Possibilities will be held in the Central Library 2 nd Floor Meeting Room on Thursday, October 20th at 1:30 P.M. This workshop is designed to help guide attendees through a new life phase, receive expert guidance, and resources to help them uncover their own special gifts and connect with people who can support them, and explore new directions.
Caregiving 101: Preparing to Care for Your Loved One will be held in the Central Library Auditorium on Wednesday, November 9th at 6:00 P.M. This workshop provides attendees with information and resources to help them better care for themselves and the ones they love. Participants will learn five steps every caregiver should take: How to Start the Conversation; Forming a Team; Making a Family Plan, Finding Support; and the Importance of Caring for Yourself.
