SALT LAKE CITY EVENTS

Utah Symphony – Pirates of the Carribbean – discounted tickets on June 27 or June 28

This Is the Place Heritage Park - $2 off of admission

AARP members and one guest will receive  $2.00 off normally priced admission tickets (does not apply to Candlelight Christmas admission tickets).  AARP member must present their AARP membership card at the Museum’s ticketing desk for each visit to the museum or mention the AARP discount.  Ends December 31, 2018.

Free Concerts - Excellence In The Community Concerts

AARP Utah is a co-sponsor of the of the free concerts held at the Gallivan Center every Thursday evening and at the Viridian Center in West Jordan on the 2 ^nd Saturday or every month.  Look for concerts in Ogden and Provo as well.  Check out the free concerts at here.

 

Red Butte Garden - $10 off any renewal or NEW Red Butte Garden membership

AARP Utah Members and guests will receive member $10 off any renewal or new Red Butte Garden  membership from May 1, 2018 to November 30, 2018.  Members and guests can access the discount by going online to https://www.redbuttegarden.org/memberships and entering the promo code “Garden2018” at checkout.  There are limited discounts available so sign up soon.

 

Hogle Zoo - $5 discount

AARP members and up to three guests can register for $5.00 off one regularly priced adult admission ticket.  You must register for the $5.00 discount at https://aarp.cvent.com/AARPUTHogleZoo5off

After you register you must print off the registration confirmation sheet and present it at the Hogle Zoo ticket box office to receive the discount.  Tickets are limited and are only available from May 4, 2018 to September 3, 2018.  Watch for AARP Day at the Zoo on Tuesday, August 14!

 

Join us for FREE SHREDDING EVENTS – Saturday, July 14 in Midvale and Ogden

Every two seconds someone’s identity is stolen.  But you can take the steps to protect yourself by coming to our free shredding events!  Shredding services are generously donated by Shred-it, who destroys your documents on the spot.  Up to ten boxes will be accepted, but please, no businesses. Electronic items will not be accepted for shredding.

Two locations:  6925 Union Park Center, Midvale, UT   AND   Golden Spike Event Center, 1000 North 1200 West, Ogden, UT  8:00am--11:00am

Free Concerts at the Peery Egyptian Theater (Mariachi Night in September)

AARP Utah is a co-sponsor of the free monthly free concerts held at the Peery Egyptian Theater in downtown Ogden!  Check out all of the concerts at here.   AARP will also host a Mariachi night of music and dance in September 17.

 

 

 

AARP Night at the Treehouse Museum - free for members and their guests

Bring your children, grandchildren and neighbors to our AARP Night at the Treehouse Museum for our “Teddy Bear Picnic” on Thursday, June 21 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  This event is free but you must register to attend here or call 1-877-926-8300.  There are limited tickets available so register now.

All the exhibits at the Museum will be open for families to explore along with the following fun events:

• Magic show at 5:45 pm and 6:30 pm
• Balloon Artist
• Face painter to paint bear faces
• Beary fun craft to take home

AARP Utah Day Exploring Nature & Picnic Lunch at the Ogden Nature Center - free for members and their guests

Come explore nature and enjoy a picnic lunch with AARP Utah on Saturday, June 23rd at 11:00 am for a guided walking tour at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 West 12th Street in Ogden.  The walking tour includes two animal presentations (one bird and one reptile) and a picnic lunch at noon.  You can also take time to tour the Nature Center after lunch, at your leisure.  The event is free but you must register to attend here or call 1-877-926-8300.  There are limited tickets available so register now.  AARP members can also receive a $10 discount off a regularly-priced Ogden Nature Center membership now until November 15, 2018.  Give give the promo code Nature 18 at the Visitor Center box office.  Quantities are limited.
