AARP Voter Guides: Candidates in Key NYS Senate Race in Own Words on Retirement, Caregiving, Utility, Age-Friendly Issues

AARP Provides Unbiased Information About Contenders Vying for Votes from State’s Most Powerful Voting Bloc: the 50+

AARP New York has released 2016 Voter Guides for key State Senate races to provide New Yorkers unbiased information on where the candidates stand on issues important to the 50+.

The guides provide the candidates’ positions in their own words on helping New Yorkers save for retirement, protecting utility consumers, supporting family caregivers and making communities age-friendly.

Voters 50 and older accounted for more than 61% of the electorate in the 2014 race for governor, according to exit polling.
