AARP’s State-based Work Featured on Thursday, Jan. 25 Call

Telephone-Town-Hall-gfx-copy

As you know, AARP actively works at the national, state and community levels – and it’s not just advocacy!  Hear more about the wide range of AARP’s state and community work planned for 2018 through our special  Volunteer Call on Thursday, Jan.  25 at 7 p.m. ET.

The Q&A style conversation will feature AARP’s National Volunteer President, Eric Schneidewind, along with top executives Kristin Dillon and Elaine Ryan, who lead our state offices and state advocacy, respectively.  There will also - as always - be time for volunteer questions and comments.

Given the high level of interest and support, AARP’s Volunteer Calls will continue on a twice-monthly basis: on the second Thursday at 2 p.m. ET and the last Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.  Please mark your calendar for these one hour conversations so that you are up-to-date on hot issues and the many ways that volunteers and AARP are working together!

Here are the details on the upcoming call:

Date: Thursday, Jan. 25

Time:  7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT/5 p.m. MT/4 p.m. PT)

Call-in Number: 877-209-3531 (toll-free and no PIN required)

Submit a questionFeel free to submit your questions in advance.  Just email volunteer@aarp.org by 6pm ET on Jan. 24, and be sure to include “TTH question” in your subject line.  We will also be taking questions by phone during the call.

Call recording availability:  As always, the calls will be recorded and stored on the Volunteer Portal – http://volunteer.aarp.org – in the Libraries tab (enter TTH in the search box).  If you need help logging onto the Portal, please contact your state office, call AARP’s Volunteer Help Line at 866-740-7719 or email volunteer@aarp.org
