Four Visionaries Ready to Serve
Are you a leader in your community? Do you love to meet new people? Are you a thinker or a doer? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should consider volunteering with AARP Louisiana. We’re seeking new volunteers in every city with drive, compassion, and commitment.
AARP has long supported its members being regular voters, so when it came to the 2020 elections, AARP Louisiana wanted to make sure voters age 55-plus were ready to make their decisions. In our efforts, it was important to ensure there was a media campaign that included all voters of the age group, including Black and Hispanic communities. To make all of this happen, AARP Louisiana partnered with Octagon Media, an African American, woman-owned, Baton Rouge-based advertising and marketing firm started in 2012 by owner Maranda White.
AARP Louisiana is hosting two free screenings of Gloria Bell as part of its Movies For Grownups series. Gloria Bell, a free-spirited divorcee spends her nights on the dance floor, joyfully letting loose at clubs around Los Angeles. She soon finds herself thrust into an unexpected new romance, filled with the joys of budding love and the complications of dating. See showtimes below.
