AARP recently conducted a survey and found that 70% of consumers failed a quiz about how to stay safe from common holiday scams. (Test your knowledge by clicking here.)

Below are some tips to keep in mind this holiday season:

  • Use well-known websites when shopping online
  • Avoid “too-good-to-be-true discounts”
  • Skip the Rack when it comes to buying gift cards
  • Use credit, not debit cards
  • Sign off for package deliveries
  • Make sure your holiday donations go to a real charity
