Americans are paying the highest prescription drug prices in the world. Patients in the United States, on average, pay four times as much as consumers in similar countries for the SAME prescriptions. We know that many Vermonters are struggling to pay for their prescriptions and in fact, in 2016 18% of Vermont residents stopped taking prescription medications as prescribed due to cost.

Senate President, House Majority Leader announced plans to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

Impostor scams continue to target large numbers of Americans, and as the federal government launches the 2020 Census, a majority may be susceptible to phony Census correspondence or telephone calls, according to results of a survey released today by the AARP Fraud Watch Network.

In honor of Black History Month, AARP Jacksonville with be hosting a moderated dinner, "I Am My Community."

WASHINGTON—AARP invites community organizations and local governments across the country to apply for the 2020 AARP Community Challenge grant program, now through April 1, 2020. Grants fund “quick-action” projects that can range from several hundred dollars for small, short-term activities to several thousand or tens of thousands for larger projects. Now in its fourth year, the grant program is part of AARP’s nationwide work on livable communities.

On February 25 at 6pm MTN, Idahoans of all ages had the opportunity to participate in a “telephone town hall" meeting with Senate Minority Leader Michelle Stennett and House Minority Leader Ilana Rubel. AARP Idaho state director Lupe Wissel moderated the conversation.
