When it comes to spotting scams, knowledge is power.
Age discrimination has been illegal for more than 50 years, however a 2018 AARP survey of people age 45 and over show problems persist. More than 60% of respondents witnessed or experienced age discrimination in the workplace and nearly 45% of those who applied or interviewed for a job in the previous two years were asked age-related questions such as birth and graduation dates.

Polling places will not be open as Hawai``'i transitions to a mail voting system
When Illinois voters go to the polls in November, they will be asked to vote on whether to pass a Constitutional amendment to allow state lawmakers to impose a graduated income tax. AARP Illinois has formed a Ballot Initiative Committee to educate the public about why a graduated income tax would be in the best interest of the state’s 1.7 million members.
