When it comes to spotting scams, knowledge is power.
Age discrimination has been illegal for more than 50 years, however a 2018 AARP survey of people age 45 and over show problems persist. More than 60% of respondents witnessed or experienced age discrimination in the workplace and nearly 45% of those who applied or interviewed for a job in the previous two years were asked age-related questions such as birth and graduation dates.
DANVILLE – According to a recent social media poll, over half of local caregivers in our region pinpoint stress as one of their greatest health concerns as they work tirelessly to ensure the proper care and good health of their charges.

Polling places will not be open as Hawai``'i transitions to a mail voting system
When Illinois voters go to the polls in November, they will be asked to vote on whether to pass a Constitutional amendment to allow state lawmakers to impose a graduated income tax. AARP Illinois has formed a Ballot Initiative Committee to educate the public about why a graduated income tax would be in the best interest of the state’s 1.7 million members.
