Celebrate San Jose at Viva CalleSJ

Cycling

People of all ages will take to San Jose's streets on Sunday, May 19, for Viva CalleSJ day. Participants will set out on bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters and walking shoes to enjoy six miles of traffic-free streets, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Food, music and numerous cultural activities are all part of the free healthy event.

A member of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, San Jose and its Viva CalleSJ bring life to the concept of livable cities, a key factor for the well-being of older adults. Nearly 9 in 10 AARP members say they wish to remain in their communities as they age.

AARP California encourages residents to stop by its booths along the route. For more information, go to vivacallesj.org.
