AARP Virginia and Aging Together will host the region’s only Expo focusing on healthy aging in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m at the Daniel Technology Center.
Over 50 exhibitors offering health screenings, product sampling, seminars and door prizes. Don't miss a Meet and Greet with retired Redskins Super Bowl Champion, Mike Nelms.
Other exhibits will include flu shots and pharmacist medication reviews, a mobile mammography service, and free document shredding. For the document shredding each individual may bring up to 2 file boxes of paperwork to be shredded.
In addition, AARP Virginia will present a workshop where participants will learn what AARP is doing to support family caregivers nationally and right here in Virginia. We will discuss ways to access resources, education and to get involved with key advocacy issues relating to caregiving.
This will be a fun event for people who are 50-plus, family caregivers and people of all ages who are thinking about aging well.
