The executive director of Bike Delaware, James Wilson services as a faithful and ambitious volunteer for AARP Delaware. Holding engineering degrees from Yale University and the University of Texas at Austin, James is the only lobbyist for cycling and walking in the State of Delaware. James Wilson is also a member of the Association of Pedestrians and Bicycle Professionals and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. James Wilson has been a dedicated volunteer of AARP Delaware since 2017.

AARP Delaware volunteer Eunice LaFate offers free art classes to help ease the stress of family caregivers. The classes will be held in downtown Wilmington on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of October, 2023. Sessions are limited to 10 people; registration is required.
Autumn is a time for letting go. With a new season on the horizon, ease out of the summer heat and into the fall with AARP Delaware's Fall Yoga Series. This gentle yoga class is virtual so you and your friends and family can do yoga in the comfort of your own home with any computer, iPad or even your phone. Classes begin right after Labor Day. Jose Matthews, 27, has been an AARP Delaware volunteer for two years and serves as a Volunteer Portal Champion, bingo facilitator, and speaker - presenting on topics impacting the care of older adults. Professionally, Jose has worked in healthcare for nearly a decade and is currently on the Business Development team for the Rockford Center, a specialty Hosptial located in Newark, DE. In service, Jose is also the President of the Red Clay School Board. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, playing with his dog “Rocky” and spending time with his family.
AARP Delaware volunteers know how to tell a story with pictures and words! The dedicated team in Sussex County, Delaware joined Communications Director Kim Wharton for a media tour of the most widely read news outlets in the lower part of the state.
