AARP Utah invites you to join us for a Life Reimagined Check-Up in Ogden on Thursday, June 16 at the Pleasant Valley Branch Library in Ogden.  What is Life Reimagined?  It's a chance to revisit your hopes, dreams, and aspirations with the assistance of Life Reimagined guides to map out a plan for making these dreams a reality.

With people living longer and redefining traditional notions of aging and retirement, a new life stage has emerged. Today, many people in their 50's, 60's and beyond are choosing to start new careers, dedicate time to hobbies, and pursuing passions in life like travel and education.  For many, this new life stage is strengthened by years of experience, accumulated knowledge and wisdom, and feelings of optimism for the possibilities ahead.

"AARP understands how important it is for people to set and achieve goals at any age," said Jill Duke, AARP Utah Community Outreach Director. "They are looking for tools, guidance, and connections to help them regain choice and control in their lives while discovering a path to personal fulfillment."

Life Reimagined online centers on an exclusive, customizable roadmap available at www.lifereimagined.org, which helps people understand where they are in their journey to achieve their goals and dreams, reflect, and make decisions in planning their next steps. Life Reimagined is powered by the Life Reimagined Institute for Innovation, a world-class group of thought leaders in the areas of life and career coaching, psychology, personal development, health and entrepreneurship.

As quoted by a March 16, 2015 article in the Washington Post, “You call it a mid-life crisis. I call it a meaning crisis,” said Richard J. Leider, a motivational speaker and co-author  along with Fast Company co-founder Alan M. Webber of “Life Reimagined: Discovering Your New Life Possibilities.”  The AARP program is based on the concepts in the book.  “It’s a guidance system,” Leider said. ” It doesn’t tell people what to do. It tells them how to do it.”  Leider also stresses the importance of living life with purpose--having a reason to get up every morning.  As a life coach he has helped thousands of people repurpose their goals into action.
