AARP and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage are pleased to bring you This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement as well as two unique events with Lori Stokes and photographer Matt Herron.

More than 150 black-and-white images chronicling the Southern Freedom Movement are featured in This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement. This multimedia exhibition features work by nine activist photographers who documented Southern institutionalized segregation and the actions of Civil Rights activists to break through these barriers.

The exhibition is accompanied by two special events. On March 26, experience a conversation with Lori Stokes regarding her late father Congressman Louis Stokes’ role in the Civil Rights Movement. On April 19, we will have An Evening with Matt Herron, one of the featured photographers in the exhibition. Discounted admission to the exhibition and the events at $8 per person per event are available to AARP members and their guests.
