A series of forums will help Arkansas residents who are interested in learning more about ways to protect themselves from scams and how best to prepare for retirement.

AARP is working with the Arkansas attorney general’s office; the state departments of Securities, Human Services and Insurance; and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service to conduct the free forums. Experts will cover such topics as stretching retirement dollars, Medicare fraud and guarding against scams.

Forums are June 11 in Dumas, June 12 in Helena-West Helena, July 9 in Mulberry, July 10 in Bella Vista, Sept. 24 in Benton and Sept. 26 in Arkadelphia. Registration is required; call 877-926-8300 toll-free.
