Sowing Seeds of Change in the Lives of Veterans | Join us Nov. 14 for a Virtual Tour Cooking Demo

Are you looking for some holiday cooking inspiration? Join AARP Georgia for a virtual visit with Army veteran Jon Jackson of Comfort Farms. The tour and cooking demo are Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. The event is free, but registration is required.

Jon is a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger veteran, and Executive Director of Georgia’s non-profit organization STAG VETS INC and Comfort Farms. The organizations aim to assists veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. Jackson will give a tour of his farm and prepare a traditional southern holiday meal.

“The STAG VETS program values rebuilding veterans’ dignity as warriors, and most importantly, bringing our communities together to fulfill a major need, which is the right to have healthy sustainable food that is accessible to everyone,” Jackson said.
