Get Ready for Retirement

Three piggy banks with retirement savings message
David Franklin

With the high cost of living in Hawaii, residents who don’t plan ahead may have to delay taking retirement.

AARP Hawaii’s “Ready for Retirement” workshops and webinars offer 10 critical tips for a healthy and financially secure future, including Social Security and Medicare overviews, advice on when to claim benefits, and help with AARP online calculators to project future money and benefits strategies.

Targeting the more than 276,000 state residents between ages 50 and 64, AARP Hawaii is offering onsite employee workshops to more than 700 companies and will present free community sessions in June and July on Oahu and Maui, including three live lunchtime webinars.

To schedule a workplace session, call 808-545-6003.
