AARP and YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) today announced they will partner in 10 U.S. communities to create and deliver programming and local events focused on the health and well-being of residents of all ages.  AARP and Y-USA said the communities were selected in order to reach a variety of people, cultures, and community sizes. They are: Asheville, NC; Bismarck, ND; Treasure Valley, ID; Burlington, VT; Colorado Springs, CO; Long Island, NY; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Rapid City, SD, and Sussex County, DE.

New Knowledge Adventures (NKA) is a low-cost, lifelong continuing education program exclusively for older adults designed to offer exceptional learning, exploration and fellowship opportunities in a comfortable and non-competitive academic surrounding. Supported by AARP Idaho, Idaho State University Meridian Health Science Center and the Treasure Valley YMCA, NKA places a shared emphasis of expanding knowledge, staying vital and exploring new ideas in an informal and socially engaging environment.
