#IHeartCaregivers Week Events at Guthrie Green Celebrates Caregivers

524,000 Oklahomans are family caregivers and we know they can use more support. AARP is here to help. Anyone can take advantage of our free caregiving resources, not just AARP members. Now, we're hosting a weeklong celebration of caregivers at Tulsa's Guthrie Green with resources and help for caregivers as well as opportunities to relax.

 

Sunday, June 18, 2017- Father's Day Concert and Caregivers Hospitality Lounge

• The week's worth of activities kicks off on Sunday, June 18, 2017 as AARP OK sponsors a free jazz concert and Caregivers Hospitality Lounge which pays special attention to male caregivers on Father's Day.  Attendees may pick up a variety of AARP caregiving resources such as the AARP Prepare to Care booklets, AARP Oklahoma Caregiver Guides and HomeFit Guides and learn about AARP membership and benefits. While enjoying the concert, caregivers are invited to relax and enjoy a complimentary massage and delicious Mr. Nice Guys tacos.

 

Wednesday, June 21, 2017- Food Truck Wednesday

11am - 2pm

• Make a date for Food Truck Wednesday at Guthrie Green and you won't be disappointed.  The food truck event features a dozen diverse food trucks with live music on the Guthrie Green stage. AARP OK will be on hand with a variety of caregiver resources and giveaways as people putt for prizes.

 

Thursday, June 22, 2017- Movie Night at the Park

• Come out for a movie under the stars with AARP OK at Guthrie Green on Thursday, June 22, 2017. The featured film is “Something's Gotta Give” starring Oscar winners Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. Attendees may pick up a variety of AARP caregiving resources such as the AARP Prepare to Care booklets, AARP Oklahoma Caregiver Guides and HomeFit Guides and learn about AARP membership and benefits. While enjoying the movie, attendees may enjoy complimentary sno cones from AARP OK.
