Mrs. Jacky’s Soldiers, a dedicated group of volunteers, have collected, packed and shipped nearly 6,500 boxes of food, toiletries, games, books and playing cards to some 280 service members overseas.
Other potential 2020 legislation would require pharmaceutical companies to explain price hikes and pave the way for importing drugs from Canada and other countries.
The Executive Council is looking for volunteers to help advocate at the state Capitol.
District Advocacy and Outreach
AARP is backing two pieces of legislation aimed at curbing drug prices, by providing those who prescribe them unbiased information on pharmaceuticals and mandating more transparency on how manufacturers set the costs of prescription meds.
