Amy Goyer
Amy Goyer

Author and nationally known AARP caregiving expert Amy Goyer will share her expertise in juggling work and caregiving as the closing speaker at Caregiver Expo 2014, on April 26 in Jacksonville.

The annual event, organized by the Caregiver Coalition of Northeast Florida, is a day devoted to caregivers, featuring community exhibitors, educational sessions, door prizes, free health screenings and fun activities to help caregivers renew and rejuvenate their caregiving spirit.

As an expert on multigenerational and aging issues, Goyer is a frequent AARP contributor, popular speaker and author of the e-book Juggling Work and Caregiving—an issue that resonates with millions of boomers across America.

Based on her experiences caring for her parents while working, Goyer offers practical and easy-to-use resources and tips.

Other speakers are Leisa Easom, executive director of the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving, and Sherri Snelling, CEO and founder of the Caregiving Club.

The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Herbert University Center at the University of North Florida, 12000 Alumni Drive. Admission is free. Go to mycaregiverconnection.org for information and to register. —David C. Montgomery
