AARP members are invited to a special live telephone town hall meeting with Governor Jay Inslee on Tuesday, February 16. We will talk about the state legislative session and a series of initiatives to help ensure that people age with dignity and purpose including long term care, Medicaid expansion, the Alzheimer’s state plan and caregiving. After the Governor, two legislators will talk about the CARE Act, a bill to support family caregivers.
The format is like a radio talk show, but you listen on your phone. The Governor will even take live questions from the audience. This free event is on Tuesday, February 16 from 9:10am – 10:10am. You must pre-register to participate.
Those who register will receive a telephone call from AARP Washington on Feb. 16 just before the start of the call. Please pick up and stay on the line, it could take a few minutes before the call starts with the Governor. You must include your telephone number in the registration to receive a phone call!
The discussion may also be recorded.
