The earlier you start saving and investing for retirement the better.

But no matter when you start, you need to know basic information about investing so you can make good decisions and invest with confidence.

That’s why AARP Hawaii is holding a free “Better Late Than Never” workshop in Lihue on Saturday, August 19 with AARP volunteer and financial planner Joanna Amberger. The workshop runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lihue Public Library, 4344 Hardy Street.

Amberger will talk about your comfort with risk and the different kinds of investment options available to help you make better financial decisions. She’ll also explain how to separate what you want from what you need in retirement and talk about what to expect from Social Security in the future.

The workshops are free and you don’t have to be an AARP member to attend. Register at   https://AARP.cvent.com/Better8-19 or call toll free 1-877-926-8300.
