People with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias slowly become less able to take care of themselves. Bathing is often the most difficult personal care activity that caregivers face.

It’s normal to feel some frustration when best efforts to help are not working. Join AARP Virginia and the Alzheimer’s Association for this free program. We’ll cover tips to help the caregiver and the person with the disease have a better experience, including:

• dressing
• grooming
• bathing
• dental care
• effective communication

Refreshments and box lunch will be provided. Seating is limited.
