For years, Maine has led the nation in having the most municipalities enrolled in the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.
Last year, Maine received an even more prestigious designation: Age-Friendly State.
The state will complete an assessment and develop an action plan similar to those of other network municipalities.
