Make Your Voice Heard at MaineDOT Forums on Public Transit Services

The Maine Department of Transit will be holding a series of forums throughout the months of May and June regarding general public transit services.  A recent statewide analysis of transit services, as part of the Maine Strategic Transit Plan 2025, shows that there are unmet transit needs in a significant number of communities.

The Department is looking for ideas from the public on how to improve services for the following:

1. Low income individuals
2. The elderly
3. Individuals with disabilities
4. Members of the general public

The results of these forums are important for the future of investments in general public transit services. The MaineDOT will use the information gathered as well for their public participation process they established to meet both state and federal transportation planning and funding requirements for transit services.

Below are the following dates and locations of these forums:

May 11 Monday Biddeford City Hall - Council Chambers 2-4pm
12 Tuesday Bath Patten Free Library 2-4pm
