Maine Office of the Public Advocate Releases New Ratewatcher Guide
AARP Maine has been the lead opponent to FairPoint’s proposed deregulation of the Provider of Last Resort (POLR) service in Maine since 2012. Nearly 3,000 Mainers 50+ signed a petition to save landline phones, and legislators received hundreds of phone calls and emails from concerned citizen this session.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Ambassadors of Aging Day at the Maine State House on Monday, March 28, 2016. We had a great turnout of over 50 AARP Maine members, all of the Maine State Office staff and interns, and two staff from our national office!
