Don't just toss your sensitive documents...shred 'em for free with AARP! We also have a wealth of valuable information at our AARP Fraud Watch Network workshops about how to stay savvy to the latest scams out there and how to keep yourself and loved ones safe. Our shreds and workshops (often combined) are must-attend events that you don't want to miss! When it comes to our shredding events, please remember: no businesses please, and make sure to remove all plastic and metal clips from documents to be shredded.

ANNAPOLIS (April 9, 2021) -- The General Assembly took significant steps late yesterday to protect low-income Marylanders’ utility bills, while also maximizing state funds, with the passage of SB31/HB397. The legislation ensures that deregulated electricity and natural gas prices offered to families on energy assistance meet, or beat, regulated utility rates.

April is National Volunteer Month and we could not accomplish all we do for Marylanders aged 50 plus and their families, including our members, with out our dedicated corps of volunteers. Our volunteers have stepped up mightily over the past year as we converted our programming online and helped us to continue serving the our community.
