Join AARP Montana for Tele Town Hall Tuesdays!

AARP Montana invites you to Tele Town Hall Tuesdays — free informational "live podcasts" on select Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 AM.

On select Tuesdays at 10 AM, experts will share information on a variety of topics, such as caregiving, fraud, estate planning, healthy eating, brain health and more. 

“We know from surveys that these topics are among the top concerns of Montanans 50-plus,” said Tim Summers, AARP Montana State Director. “AARP is here to serve as a resource, and we are pleased to offer these live, interactive events throughout the year via the Tele Town Hall format.” 

You will join thousands of Montanans across the state during these live events, you can also pose your questions directly to our experts. These important calls are available for anyone regardless of whether they're an AARP member or not. 

On event days, AARP Montana will call members across the state just before 10:00 AM to invite you to participate in the live Tele-Town Hall. 

To join the live event, you only need to stay on the line when we call!

• Those unable to join the live events can listen to the recorded call on AARP Montana’s Facebook page at fb.com/AARPMontana. 

“The Tele Town Hall format has many advantages, not the least of which is the convenience for the participants who don't have to leave home or carve time out of their schedule to head down to a traditional meeting,” said Marcus Meyer, AARP Montana Director of Outreach. “There’s no worrying about driving time, the weather or other conflicts -- Montanans can just pick up the phone at home and instantly join the event to hear directly from subject matter experts on a variety of topics. Think of it as a live podcast!”

• Tuesday, Nov. 18 @ 10 AM — Don't Let Your Holiday Magic Turn Tragic! Learn how to avoid scams of the season.
  
  With the holidays right around the corner, the traditional season for giving has become a peak time for taking among con-artists targeting Montana consumers. AARP Montana is hosting this live event to empower individuals to recognize the signs and red flags of holiday scams, ensuring they stay safe this season.

  Tuesday, Dec. 9 @ 10 AM — Estate Planning with Dr. Marsha Goetting of MSU Extension
  
  Over the past eight years Dr. Marsha Goetting has presented more than 500 educational sessions that have reached more than 15,000 Montanans with financial and estate planning information. She has received state, regional and national awards for her programs and has authored dozens of “MontGuide” fact sheets that cover estate planning topics.
