Caregiving is a task born of love and necessity that often creates stress, uncertainty, isolation, and frustration. But the key is to know you're never alone and there are great resources and those who have walked the path before you.
Join AARP Nevada and Nevada Department of Veterans Services for an in-depth Veterans Caregiving Conference: Caregiving on the Homefront. The virtual event takes place Thursday, August 20 from 9 am to Noon and is FREE to all.
Speakers include:
- Rosalys Peel, author of the book "Mike & Me" which deals with the issue of Alzheimer's for couples, families, and caregivers.
- Sherry Shileika & Anne Schaak from VA Caregiver Support in Both Reno and Las Vegas
- Mary Squillante & Pat Guerney, Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Aging and Disability Services Division with information on resources available
- Amy Goyer, AARP Family Caregiving Expert
