Under the AARP Take A Stand on Social Security campaign, hear from the candidates directly about Social Security and their commitment to updating the benefit program to prevent looming cuts by 2034.
U.S. Senate
Candidates for U.S. Senate seat joined AARPNH in October, for a discussion about Social Security and AARP's Take A Stand campaign. The interviews, which took place at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College in Manchester, included interviews with each candidate, conducted by AARPNH Executive Council member Marc Boyd.

GUBERNATORIAL FORUM
AARP New Hampshire, in partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, held a Gubernatorial Candidates Forum on Sept. 22, 2016, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, with gubernatorial candidates Chris Sununu (R) and Colin Van Ostern (D). CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 1
Candidates for New Hampshire's Congressional District 1 seat joined AARPNH on Monday, Oct. 24,2016, for a discussion about Social Security and AARP's Take A Stand campaign. The forum, which was held at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College in Manchester, included interviews with each candidate, conducted by AARPNH Executive Council member Karen Erickson, Ph.D., dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Southern New Hampshire University.
The candidates include: Incumbent Congressman Frank Guinta (R), running for reelection; former CD 1 Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester); and candidate Shawn O'Connor (I-Manchester).
