Labor Day MFG

It’s only January and winter has been brutal.  But AARP New Hampshire has a treat for AARP members:  a pre-release screening of Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.  It’s at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 13 at the Cinemagic & IMAX in Hooksett.  Tickets are limited so reserve your seats today.

Set across the last weekend before school begins, Labor Day is the story of 13-year-old Henry Wheeler, a boy struggling to be man of his house and care for his depressed mother Adele.  On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother come across Frank Chambers, a man in need of help who turns out to be an escaped convict.  The events of this long Labor Day weekend will shape them for the rest of their lives.

Don’t miss out on a chance to join us at this free screening of Labor Day.  It’s all part of AARP’s Movies for Grownups which spotlights and celebrates movies with storylines, performances and filmmaking that have a distinct relevance to the 50+ audience.

You might want to hurry as tickets won’t last.  View the movie trailer online and then reserve your seat today.

And when you’re at the theatre, meet AARP staff, volunteers and other members during the event.  Don’t forget to stop by the AARP table to learn more about what AARP is doing in your community.
