It’s time to shift gears and start planning some spring activities!

Well, we’ve done the planning for you ..... and here’s what’s on the calendar for April 27 and May 2 at the New Hampshire Audubon McLane Center84 Silk Farm Road – in Concord.

How versed are you in New Hampshire’s pollinators?  Join expert Eric Venturini, an entomologist with the Xerces Society, and learn who’s who, how they are faring, and how you can help!  There will be an opportunity to ask questions, participate in a lively discussion, and go home with practical ideas on how to engage in pollinator conservation.

Whether you are a gardener who enjoys birds or a birdwatcher that likes to garden, learn how to provide a welcoming habitat for your avian guests.  Creating a layered landscape that emphasizes native plants and bird-friendly features will help increase the number and variety of birds that visit your yard.  This presentation will cover a selection of regionally native plants, shrubs, and trees to include in your landscape, as well as suggestions on how to provide the appropriate food, shelter and water source to make an inviting habitat for birds.
