AARP Idaho and the Treasure Valley Family YMCA are happy to announce an exciting opportunity for folks age 50+ in Canyon County and surrounding communities that focusing on healthy living in a  way that is fun and exciting.

New Knowledge Adventures (NKA) is a socially engaging, lifelong learning program administered through Idaho State University and the Treasure Valley YMCA. In conjunction with university staff, volunteer instructors provide leadership and complete management of all courses and curriculums. Volunteers develop engaging and diverse classes based upon member interests, talents and feedback.

NKA has been incredibly successful in the Treasure Valley for over two years and, thanks to being recently selected to pilot a Healthy Aging Initiative, the program is now expanding to Canyon County. There are some new features to NKA in Canyon County. First, the classes offered are FREE, but you must register. Second, some classes will have Spanish speaking interpreters. And finally, the driver transporting the person registered to attend the class will receive a free family day pass to the Caldwell YMCA. Registration opens on September 18, 2017.
