Before You File: Everything You Need to Know About the New Tax Law A FREE VSCPA Workshop

The Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) is putting on a series of workshops all around the state that are FREE to the public. The workshop titled “Before you file: Everything  You Need to Know about the New Tax Law” will cover everything that taxpayers should know to best prepare for the upcoming filing season by giving a general overview of the new tax law and covering the following topics:

  • Itemized deductions
  • Home ownership
  • Charitable Giving
  • Gift and Estate Taxation
  • Education and Children
  • Retirement Planning
  • Health Care

The dates and locations of the workshops are as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 10 – 12:00 p.m.
South County Library, Roanoke (6303 Merriman Road, Roanoke, VA 24018)

Friday, Oct.26th from 10:30 – 12:30 p.m.
Arlington Central Library (1015 N. Quincy Street, Arlington, VA 22201)

Friday, Nov 9th from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m.
The Slover Library (235 E. Plume Street, Norfolk, VA 23510)

Monday, Nov.19th from 10 – 12:00 p.m.
The CPA Center (4309 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060)
