Are you making the jump from military to civilian work? Veterans, transitioning service members and their families can get help getting hired—learn how at our free webinar.
AARP North Dakota has joined forces with the AARP Fraud Watch Network and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for Operation Protect Veterans -- a campaign to warn those who have served in the military about scams and fraud schemes that target veterans. The major educational campaign will reach out to veterans in communities across North Dakota and nationwide.
In addition to the 12 percent state paid credit that all North Dakotans receive, there are a couple of property tax credits for which you may be eligible. The Homestead Tax Credit is for senior citizens and disabled individuals of any age. The Disabled Veterans Tax Credit is for disabled veterans of the United States armed forces.
More North Dakotans 65 and older and homeowners of any age with a disability are now eligible for the Homestead Property Tax Credit because of a major expansion approved by the 2013 North Dakota Legislature.
