NPC Comment Solicitation Email to State Volunteers

Below please find the email that will be sent this week to AARP state volunteers:

Dear AARP Volunteer,

On behalf of AARP’s National Policy Council (NPC), I’d like to invite you to send us your input on AARP’s public policies. We welcome feedback on policy issues that affect your life and community, such as Social Security and Medicare, brain health, caregiving, and building communities that benefit people of all ages. At AARP we want to be sure we always “get you” and that means hearing your concerns and listening to your ideas about policy.

The NPC develops policy recommendations based on a review of AARP's existing policies and the input we receive from people like you. These recommendations are presented to the AARP Board for its deliberation and decision-making. Board-approved policy guides AARP advocacy. Your input plays a critical role in helping the NPC develop policy.

To review AARP's current policies effortlessly from any electronic device, any time, please visit www.aarp.org/policbook. To submit your input and feedback, go to www.aarp.org/input. You may submit multiple comments in a variety of categories, or just choose “miscellaneous” to address a new idea.

You also may send your input via email to npc@aarp.org.

Feedback is due by July 31, 2017.

Once the input period is over, the NPC will review all input and consider it in its deliberations. Please pass this request to other AARP volunteer colleagues and members who you know are interested in AARP’s public policies.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Dorothy Siemon
Vice President, Office of Policy Development and Integration
