FIGHTING FOR YOU

Improving access to primary and preventative care in Ohio
Did you know that 81 of Ohio’s 88 counties have a shortage of primary care providers? Long travel distances and wait times for appointments put older patients’ health at risk and add stress to family caregivers. If current Ohio laws are updated, nurse practitioners can be a part of the solution and offer:
• Master’s or doctoral level education, certified to provide the full scope of their advanced training
• More choices for primary care AARP is continuing to urge state lawmakers to consider common sense ways to provide the quality care patients and their family caregivers want and deserve.
