AARP Pennsylvania Welcomes Steps to Improve Testing and Reporting of COVID-19 Cases in Long-Term Care Facilities
In response to the Wolf Administration’s plans to increase testing and public reporting of COVID-19 cases in the state’s long-term care facilities, AARP Pennsylvania State Director Bill Johnston-Walsh issued the following statement:
With many Americans worrying about matters such as the latest Presidential election polls, Dancing With the Stars contestants, or who would win the lottery for the first pick in the National Basketball Association draft (Go Sixers!), there are several things distracting Americans from another important issue at hand: Long-term care.

AARP members from across Pennsylvania today called on state officials to provide additional support for the 1.6 million family members providing care to older adults at home at a state capitol rally in Harrisburg.
More than 100 Erie area families caring for loved ones at home or anticipating care for themselves or family members adults recently attended a special AARP Pennsylvania Caregiving Forum held earlier this month at Erie’s Blasco Memorial Library.
