Business Owners Share Lessons Learned During Encore Entrepreneur Workshops

The U.S. Small Business Administration and AARP are teaming up to host Encore Entrepreneur Workshops targeted at entrepreneurs over the age of 50. Building on the success of a joint SBA and AARP partnership, the two organizations match “encore entrepreneurs” with successful business owners and community leaders for advice and assistance. The two workshops will feature panelists who will share their stories of lessons learned as business owners.

In Wichita on December 16, the free workshop features three accomplished entrepreneurs – Dale Diggs, CEO of Diggs Construction LLC., Gene Camarena, President of La Raza Pizza, Inc., and Beth Harshfield, President of Exhibit Arts, LLC. The event will be held at the Wichita State University Metropolitan Complex (North entrance - Small Business Development Center door) at 5015 E 29th Street North, Wichita, KS from 8:30AM -11:30AM.

In Manhattan on December 18, the free workshop also features three successful entrepreneurs - David Lindstrom, former Kansas City Chief and previous Burger King Franchisee, Michael Henry of Michael Henry Photography, and Fred Willich, President, Hi-Tech Interiors, Inc. The event will be held at the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce at 501 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
