A listing of Hispanic Heritage Month 2022 events hosted by AARP Texas and community partners throughout Texas. Sept 15 to Oct. 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Gardens provide nutritious food for our tables, beautiful flowers and plants for our homes, and they also provide a variety of other health benefits.
(Jackson, MS) –– AARP Mississippi is encouraging Jackson residents to take a step toward better health with Walk with a Doc, a health program that brings doctors and patients together. The kick-off walk is at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 13 at Parham Bridges Park, located at 5055 Old Canton Road in Jackson. Walk With A Doc will continue at the same time on the second Saturday of each month at Parham Bridges Park, which is the site of the AARP FitLot Park equipment installation.
Project uses old wooden doors as the canvas for innovative artwork. Local artists, senior citizens, interested volunteers, and public workers will work jointly to create some 15 door designs highlighting the city's history.
Encore is accepting registration now for its 15-week music programs that begin in September and culminate in a holiday concert. Virtual opportunities and memory loss programs are also available.
