Across the nation, the aging population has proven to be an important and vital source of economic growth, according to “ The Longevity Economy: Generating Economic Growth and New Opportunities for Business,” a study conducted in 2013 by Oxford Economics and commissioned by AARP. This study counters long-held beliefs about the negative financial impacts of aging on the US economy by showing that the 50+ population actually fuels growth.
AARP Louisiana and Delgado Community College are hosting a job fair for individuals 50 and older who are looking for employment opportunities at the College. Currently Delgado is hiring child care assistants, adjunct faculty and administrators.
AARP Georgia is hosting the 50+ Job Fair in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) on Thursday, March 20 in DeKalb County for workers 50 years old and older. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Road in Lithonia.
