What destinations are on your travel bucket list? The Great Pyramids of Giza? The Eiffel Tower? The Great Wall of China? Mount Kilimanjaro? Machu Pichu? We all have our list, some more grand than others. The five hundred people from all across the United States who participated in the virtual visit to the Galapagos Islands were in for a real treat. On behalf of AARP Virginia, Bonnie Becker, world traveler extraordinaire shared her expertise and travel experience to what is regarded by many as one of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
AARP Connecticut invites you to join us for free virtual events at two of our state’s top destinations, Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo and Mystic Aquarium. Throughout the month of October, join us for eight free webinars – four from each location – to hear interesting stories and learn more about animal health, wellness, enrichment, and research.

We are also closely monitoring postponing or suspending our involvement and participation of public events managed by outside organizations.
There is no denying the importance of social connections for an individual’s physical and mental health. We also know that social isolation can increase during our winter months. Our La Crosse AARP volunteers wish to make gathering easier by hosting the first What’s Brewin’ Wednesday on February 12th from 4-6 pm at Pearl Street Brewery.
A well-designed, livable community promotes health, sustain growth, and make for happier, healthier residents of every age, in all life stages. AARP Wisconsin is working to raise awareness in the greater Milwaukee area about the need for age-friendly, livable communities.
China Lights has been extended! On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, we will be hosting another “AARP Night” at the China Lights show for our members. We’re excited to work with Boerner Botanical Gardens again to bring our members this special evening.
