AARP has a long history of working with members and volunteers during election season. Between now and Election Day in November, we're looking for a few key volunteer leaders to help manage our campaigns and elections work in communities around our incredible state.
The 5/31 DEADLINE IS ALMOST HERE: If you were tricked into wiring money to scammers using Western Union, you may be eligible to get at least some of your money back. The Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice came to a $586 million settlement with Western Union last year. If you sent money through Western Union between January 1, 2004 and January 19, 2017, and lost it to a scammer, you may be eligible for a refund. Visit www.ftc.gov/wu or the Maine Attorney General's Office to learn more.
AARP Maine is now accepting nominations for our 2018 Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Mainers who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of their community members. The Andrus Award is AARP’s most prestigious and visible volunteer award.
