On Saturday evening, June 3, 2017 AARP volunteers in Roanoke staffed the pledge phone bank at Blue Ridge PBS. During this Spring Fund Drive, we were taking pledges for tickets to the Mannheim Steamroller concert in Salem, November 17. We had a great time with our American Masters/Movies for Grownups partner Blue Ridge PBS.
WILMINGTON -- Family caregiving for relatives or close friends with chronic, disabling, or serious health problems so they can remain in their home is nearly universal today. In 2013, about 1.28 million family caregivers in north Carolina helped another adult loved one carry out daily activities ( such as bathing or dressing, preparing meals, administering medications, driving to the doctor visits, paying bills).

A family from Dayton and the director of the Southwestern Ohio Area Agency on Aging are among those who welcomed filmmakers into their lives for Caring for Mom and Dad, an hour-long documentary airing on Public Broadcasting Stations nationwide in May and June.
