Although Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has rejected "Medicaid Expansion"  as proposed by the Affordable Care Act, AARP will continue working with him and other state leaders, federal officials and health care advocates to try to find a way to provide health insurance to families struggling to afford coverage.
Kingsport, TN—Members of the East Tennessee Master Gardner’s Society will conduct community workshops and seminars on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. to help kick-off Harvest of Hope Community Garden’s third year of teaching people how to construct raised bed gardens, how to grow healthy foods, and the importance of eating healthy.  Harvest of Hope Community Garden is located at 130 West Charlemont Ave. in Kingsport.
