More than 200 Michigan veterans and their family members took part in a telephone town hall hosted by AARP Michigan. Questions focused on everything from COVID-19 and stimulus checks to medical benefits and discharge documents.
WASHINGTON -- To better educate veterans and their family caregivers, AARP enthusiastically endorses a bipartisan bill, H.R. 5500, the Veterans’ Credit Protection Act, which would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to establish outreach to veterans who may be subjected to credit reporting due to late or unpaid health care costs. The measure is expected to be debated in the House after Labor Day.
AARP Mississippi is inviting all Veterans in the area to attend the AARP Veterans Town Hall on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the Brown Mississippi Baptist Church, 980 Stateline Road East in Southaven. Veterans may bring one guest. Lunch will be served.
